Sylven New York, the sustainable luxury shoe brand founded by women in Brooklyn, New York, is launching its very first plant-based leather sneaker. Crafted from apple and coconut vegan leather, The Mel debuts on Earth Day, coinciding with the birthday of brand founder Casey Dworkin and her personal journey to veganism after participating in the famous Veganuary movement earlier in the year.
Released today (April 22) for Earth Day, The Mel is the latest sneaker to join Sylven New York’s eco-friendly luxury shoe line.
