Quincy and Braintree Farmers’ Markets open for the season this weekend
The Quincy and Braintree Farmers’ Markets will open for the season this weekend.
The Quincy Farmers Market will open in a new location, Kilroy Square, at 25 Cottage Ave., the outdoor space between The Fours restaurant and the Hancock parking garage, at noon Friday., June 18.
The Quincy Chamber of Commerce is in partnership with the Quincy Farmers Market and will manage the new site.
The market will be held from noon to 5 p.m. every Friday until October 29.

The Braintree Farmers Market will open for its 13th season on Saturday in the Braintree Town Hall parking lot, 1 John F. Kennedy Memorial Drive.
The hours of operation for the Braintree Market are 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., and the outdoor market will be held Saturday through October 16, with a special Thanksgiving market on November 20.
There are 29 vendors who will participate in the market, although some will only be there for alternating weeks, said Donna Ingemanson, the market manager.
“We will have a full line, with most of the suppliers from last year returning,” she said.
The Braintree Electric Light Department will sponsor weekly musical artists.
The virtual farmers market will also continue. Order by midnight on Thursday for delivery and pickup from the community hub on Saturday. Orders can be placed on market2dayapp.com.
