So much cool and trendy art to choose from in this range of stunning Mid-Century Modern Letterpress Prints by Bold Modern.
Of course, mid-century modern artwork isn’t hard to find these days. I recently featured the wonderful Deltanova artwork on the site and you might also remember the mid-century advertising posters from King & McGaw. Many unique items also at various retailers. But this range is different.
The Bold Modern range is entirely devoted to the classic typography of the time. Of course, many have accompanying images that are eye-catching as well. But the typography is the selling point here.
So much to choose from, with examples from all over the world and from different years to the mid-20th century.
Images used are taken from iconic book covers, concert posters, exhibition posters, album covers, movie posters, sporting events, magazine covers and many more niche examples, like vintage matchbox designs, for example.
Over 300 in total to browse, enjoy and if you like it, enjoy. These aren’t the cheapest examples, but quality is a big selling point for prints. No poor quality copies here. The prints here deliver crisp image quality on all print sizes and ‘crisp typography’ down to the ‘very last obsessive detail’. Each is overseen by the company rather than being printed by an outside company.
Get one in any frame of your choice and show it off with pride. There is every chance that it will pass for an original work of art.
Like I said, there is so much to choose from, which makes it difficult to demonstrate the depth of the range here. I would recommend making a drink, taking a few minutes, and going through it well. You will not regret it.
But I’ve picked a few of my favorites to give you a taste of what the range is all about.
At the top of the page you’ll see the cover of the much sought-after Modern Houses and below, the Ella Fitzgerald 1968 concert poster and the 1964 Tokyo Olympics print by Polish master designer Janusz Rapnicki.
Continuing on, you’ll see Paul Rand’s design for the IBM pavilion in the mid-1960s, one of five images for the Schweizer Mustermesse Basel, a 1959 cover for Holiday Magazine, Paul Schuitema’s design for the Mondrian exhibition 1965 in The Hague, a Promotion of the Alfa Romeo car at the 1967 Montreal Expo, work by Canadian designer Stuart Ash for the 1974 Art Gallery of Ontario brochure and a Christopher Hill poster for British Transport.
Different sizes are available and note that the pictures are unframed. If you want one the prices are around £ 150.
