10 new venues in New York for summer 2021 meetings and events
ModernHaus SoHo opened in May in the SoHo district, has 114 rooms and has a vast outdoor space of 11,000 square feet in total, including several options for private events. Jimmy’s, a rooftop space, has a swimming pool and was inspired by Picasso’s blue period. It has 1,300 square feet of indoor space that can accommodate up to 100 guests or 1,500 square feet of outdoor space that can accommodate approximately 50 people with views of Midtown, Wall Street and the Hudson River. Veranda, the 4,000-square-foot restaurant owned by celebrity chef George Mendes and restaurateur David Rabin, seats around 80 people, including the 1,200-square-foot Back Bar with its own entrance on Sixth Avenue, ideal for up to 48 people. The 3,000 square foot terrace can accommodate up to 60 people. Its retractable roof is perfect for outdoor dining in the summer, and during the winter months you can enjoy a cozy fireplace. The Veranda’s 3,100 square foot Signature Room can accommodate up to 100 for private events and features beautiful vaulted wood ceilings and personalized menus by Chef Mendes and caterer Abigail Kirsch. The 1300 square foot Gallery Penthouse, located on the 16th floor, has a separate living and dining area for 12 people for intimate boardroom style gatherings. The luxury hotel features artwork by well-known names including Alexander Calder, George Condo, Harland Miller, Jean Dubuffet, and KAWS.
